About RCA Fitness 

I started RCA Fitness in 2011 aiming to improve as many lives as possible.

At RCA Fitness we help and educate men and women to achieve optimal health and fitness levels whilst leading busy lives.

We build a personalised plan by taking into account the client’s current lifestyle and habits, mapping out possible red flags that might be restricting them to make the change.

Every individual plan is made to suit the client’s needs depending on what it is they are trying to achieve.

We plan the necessary steps for the client to achieve their long term goal, by educating them on exercise, nutrition, sleep, and mindset.

The key factor that we, at RCA Fitness emphasise, is to educate people to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle without giving up on things they enjoy.

Our clients will become more confident in themselves and they will have the necessary knowledge to manage their lifestyle habits in the future.

Rob Abbiss – The Owner of RCA Fitness

When I was younger, I struggled with my weight. Through training, improving my nutrition and changing my mindset, I started to see results. The new habits became my lifestyle.

I wanted to help others struggling with the same issues – So, I came up with the idea of starting my own business.

My lifelong affinity for health, fitness, and sport motivated me to turn my passion into a professional career.

With over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry and a background working in football, I have now changed many people’s lives. I have provided the tools to make the change and supported them throughout the process. 

Over the years I have been developing myself, gaining more knowledge and improving my skills to be able to provide even better results.

I now carry a wealth of qualifications from Strength & Conditioning for Sport, Exercise & Nutritional Interventions for Obesity and Diabetes, Physical Activity and Lifestyle Strategies for Managing Low Back Pain as well as many more. I am also a qualified instructor in Elite Boxing and Advanced Kettlebells.

My approach to training is to keep it enjoyable and realistic to keep my clients committed and focussed on achieving their goals. The main thing about building each plan is to listen to the client and find out what their goal is. I educate my clients to live a balanced life and not to restrict the things they enjoy! 

This way the transformation will become maintainable and it will be a lifelong change. After all, that is the reason why I train people. It is rewarding to see the client’s results.

Chris Meek

Coach

I have always had a passion and desire to help and coach people.

My coaching journey began in 2009 when I embarked on studying a Sports Coaching degree at Leeds Becket University, where I completed both the BSc and MSc qualifications.

This led me to work in professional football, working in a variety of different roles at 3 professional clubs and organisations. Over the years I positively impacted the development of many young footballers who have become established professional and even international footballers.

Being a professional coach and performance analyst has enabled me to gain invaluable experience and knowledge in developing people across a long period of time, helping them overcome obstacles, reinforcing their strengths, and clearly outlining their progress and achievements!

I have always had a deep interest in health and fitness and in 2019 I made the decision to change my life by beginning an 8-month body transformation, taking part in a photoshoot which is undoubtedly the absolute best that I have ever felt physically and mentally. This is the power of coaching and how having expert guidance and support can help you change your life for the better.

I am empathetic, caring, and very much a people person. I am more motivated than ever to help and support people in changing their lives and I can’t wait to help you in achieving your goals.

Hi! I’m the brain behind the business!

My main responsibility is to ensure that all the operations at RCA Fitness run smoothly and support the business in a variety of ways including marketing, bookkeeping, coordinating events, social media communication, customer engagement, and much more.

Working for RCA Fitness is a great way to combine my interest in both fitness and operations management.

My passion for fitness started at a very young age through dance. I trained, performed and later on, I decided that I wanted to teach other people and pass on the knowledge I had. So, I became a qualified dance instructor.

Even though I work behind the scenes, I am very much a face-to-face person.
